CASE STUDY: CRISIS MANAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR A MULTINATIONAL CORPORATION
Request
Develop the crisis management plan and support its implementation across the Middle East and Africa.
Solution
Having developed an in-depth knowledge of the client’s business operations and requirements, Olive was able to produce a plan focusing on four stages of crisis management - readiness, prevention, response and recovery.
Outcome
- Identified the structure for an overall command and control mechanism.
- Designed specific incident management plans for a range of crises (such as terrorism, kidnap and ransom, health pandemics, and natural disasters).
- Assisted in the roll out of the plan across all regional offices, through a series of detailed briefings and exercises for the key personnel who would make up the three levels (gold, silver and bronze) of the crisis management structure.
- Following the rollout, Olive provided implementation support in a number of priority areas, such as bespoke risk assessments for key locations, standby arrangements for logistics and security support in a crisis, and identification of technology-linked solutions to enable business continuity in critical facilities.
